Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Senior SAP BASIS & Security Consultant to manage and support the complete SAP landscape for our global SAP S/4HANA on RISE with SAP hosted on GCP environment. The role involves BASIS administration, SAP security, system performance, transport management, user and authorization governance, and coordination with SAP, infrastructure, and application teams to ensure stable, secure, and high-performing SAP operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and manage the complete SAP landscape from BASIS and Security perspective
- Support SAP S/4HANA on RISE with SAP environment hosted on GCP
- Manage SAP system administration activities including installations, refreshes, upgrades, patching, transports, monitoring, and performance tuning
- Handle SAP user administration, roles, authorizations, security compliance activities
- Manage transport landscape and coordinate releases across environments
- Monitor system health, background jobs, interfaces, dumps, spool, performance issues
- Coordinate with SAP, hyperscaler, infrastructure, and application teams for issue resolution and system improvements
- Support audits, security reviews, and compliance requirements
- Troubleshoot BASIS and security-related incidents and perform root cause analysis
- Support DR planning, backup validation, and system availability activities
- Maintain BASIS and security documentation, SOPs, and governance processes
- Participate in implementation, upgrade, migration, and hypercare activities
- Collaborate with global stakeholders and support teams across regions
Required Skills:
- 8–12 years of experience in SAP BASIS and SAP Security administration
- Strong experience managing SAP S/4HANA landscapes and SAP RISE environments
- Hands-on experience with SAP on GCP or other hyperscaler platforms
- Strong knowledge of SAP system architecture, transports, monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting
- Experience in SAP security, roles, authorizations, user administration, audit compliance
- Exposure to SAP Fiori, Gateway, Web Dispatcher, and SAP Cloud integrations
- Experience in system refreshes, upgrades, kernel patching, and HA/DR activities
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience working in global support and distributed delivery environments
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or related field
- Relevant SAP BASIS / Security certifications preferred
