Job Summary :
We are looking for a dynamic and execution-oriented Deputy Manager Plant HR to support the Plant HR Head in driving end-to-end HR operations across multiple manufacturing plants. The role involves managing plant HR operations, employee relations, statutory compliance, contract labour management, and HR process improvements to ensure smooth business operations. The ideal candidate should be proactive, hands-on, and capable of partnering with business leaders while building scalable HR systems and processes.
Job Description :
- Support the Plant HR Head in managing end-to-end HR operations across multiple manufacturing plants.
- Ensure smooth execution of daily HR activities to support uninterrupted plant operations.
- Drive manpower planning, recruitment, onboarding, and workforce deployment based on production requirements.
- Manage employee relations by handling grievances, disciplinary matters, counselling, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with labour laws, statutory regulations, company policies, and factory compliance requirements.
- Oversee contract labour management, vendor compliance, statutory documentation, and labour audits.
- Coordinate payroll inputs, attendance, leave management, and HR administration.
- Partner with Plant Heads and functional leaders to address workforce challenges and support business objectives.
- Drive HR process improvements, digitization initiatives, and implementation of HR systems to improve operational efficiency.
- Monitor HR metrics and prepare reports to support decision-making.
- Support performance management, capability development, and employee engagement programs.
- Participate in plant expansion, organizational change, and other strategic HR projects as required.
Profile Description :
- MBA/MSW in Human Resources or equivalent from a reputed institution.
- 10-12 years of Plant HR or Manufacturing HR experience.
- Strong experience in Industrial Relations (IR), Employee Relations (ER), and labour law compliance.
- Hands-on experience in contract labour management and statutory compliance.
- Exposure to payroll, attendance management, employee lifecycle management, and HR operations.
- Experience working closely with Plant Heads and cross-functional teams.
- Strong execution mindset with the ability to independently manage plant HR activities.
- Experience in HR systems, process improvements, or HR digitalization initiatives will be an added advantage.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in automotive, engineering, electrical, pumps, consumer durables, or other manufacturing industries is preferred.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and take on challenging assignments.
