Looking for an FP&A / Corporate Finance professional to drive gross margin analysis, forecasting, and financial modeling while partnering closely with operations teams to improve cost performance and profitability.
The role requires strong analytical expertise in margin analysis, job costing, Excel-based financial models, ERP/CRM data reconciliation, and business insight generation in a fast-paced operational environment.
Job Description
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Own monthly gross margin analysis for field services, hardware, and performance payouts
- Analyze forecast vs. actual results and identify root causes
- Build and maintain driver-based financial models, including shortfall liability and reserve forecasts
- Perform sensitivity analyses to evaluate risks and support investment decisions
Operations Partnership
- Partner with Residential and Commercial Operations leaders on cost performance
- Analyze technician productivity, vendor costs, and service expense drivers
- Define and track key operational metrics impacting gross margin
- Support Board decks and Quarterly Business Reviews with data-driven insights
Data, Systems & Process
- Ensure operational data from Salesforce and field systems reconciles with financial results
- Collaborate with Accounting on job costs, recoveries, and reserves accuracy
- Improve data quality, reporting processes, and financial visibility
- Lead ad hoc analysis across Revenue and OpEx as required
Profile Description
- 6+ years in FP&A, Transaction Services (Big 4/Banking), or Corporate Finance
- Advanced Excel skills with experience in driver-based models
- Hands-on experience in margin analysis, job costing, and unit economics
- Exposure to ERP/CRM tools (NetSuite, Salesforce, or similar)
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
- Strong ownership mindset with high attention to detail
- Comfortable working with large, imperfect datasets
- Ability to move between detailed analysis and senior-level communication
- Curious about operational drivers with a focus on understanding the “why” behind results
Good to Have
- Background in renewable energy, field services, HVAC, or logistics
- Experience working in high-growth or operationally complex environments
- Familiarity with subscription or performance-based revenue models
