Job Summary:
The Lead - HR Business Partner – Commercial is accountable for enabling business performance through disciplined people strategy execution. The role requires strong commercial acumen, attrition control capability, and senior stakeholder influence. In addition, this role is responsible for building and developing a high-impact HRBP team and driving effective integration with HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) to ensure the organization remains compliant, productive, resilient, and prepared for growth within a dynamic product manufacturing and sales-driven environment.
Job Description:
1. Workforce Strategy & Capacity Planning
• Own workforce planning aligned to capacity expansion, new projects, automation initiatives, and technology adoption.
• Ensure manpower readiness supports revenue growth, productivity targets, and cost efficiency, with no operational disruption.
• Anticipate workforce risks and deploy proactive mitigation plans.
2. Talent & Capability Management
• Identify critical and revenue-impacting roles and ensure succession readiness with defined timelines.
• Drive structured talent reviews, capability diagnostics, and development interventions aligned to business priorities.
• Strengthen leadership bench strength to support current and future operating models.
3. Performance & Productivity Governance
• Embed performance discipline through clear metrics, review cadence, and accountability mechanisms.
• Partner with business leaders to address productivity gaps with time-bound action plans.
• Ensure performance outcomes translate into measurable business impact.
4. Attrition & Retention Management
• Own attrition diagnostics and execute targeted retention strategies, particularly for critical and high-impact roles.
• Reduce avoidable attrition through data-led interventions, career pathways, and manager effectiveness.
• Strengthen the Employee Value Proposition to support talent stability.
5. Culture, Engagement & Values Integration
• Reinforce a performance-driven, values-aligned culture through leadership alignment and people processes.
• Drive engagement initiatives directly linked to retention, productivity, and employee accountability.
• Monitor engagement indicators and course-correct with structured actions.
6. Coaching, Stakeholder Management & Governance
• Act as a trusted advisor and coach to senior business leaders on people, organization, and performance matters.
• Influence decision-making through data, business context, and risk-based insights.
• Ensure governance, statutory compliance, and consistency across all people processes with minimal business friction.
7. HR Process Enablement
• Partner with HR Centres of Excellence to deploy performance management, learning, talent, and lifecycle programs effectively.
• Ensure scalability, compliance, and execution discipline across the organization.
Profile Description:
• MBA / master’s degree in human resources or a related discipline.
• 12–18 years of progressive HR experience, with significant HR Business Partnering exposure in commercial or sales-driven environments.
• Proven track record in attrition management, workforce planning, performance governance, and stakeholder management.
• Experience in Sales driven organisations - Manufacturing, FMCG, FMCD, Building Materials, Telecom, or similar sectors preferred.
• Strong understanding of organization design, talent management, and change execution.
• Mobility: Willingness to travel frequently across India.
