Job Summary
This role has overall responsibility for infrastructure/network projects from initiation right through to implementation.
The role will involve,

Job Description
- Successful and timely delivery of all phases of the program/projects from concept through to BAU transition.
- To create, review and maintain project plans with all relevant parties involved.
- To proactively monitor overall project progress, resolving risks and issues and initiating corrective action plans as appropriate.
- To act as the central point of liaison, communications and coordination between technical teams and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- To maintain overall control and accountability for the schedule and the delivery of expected deliverables.
- To actively manage scope changes and the impact to the overall plan.
- To demonstrate knowledge of the underlying technology stack and supported/related business area.
- To manage budgets, estimates with vendors and creating PO’s where required.
- To build/maintain effective relationships with partners across Technology, Operations, Product & Finance.
- Proactively identify/manage issues, risks, dependencies and assumptions to ensure accurate planning.
- To manage multiple work streams with many moving dependencies.
- To mitigate project related challenges with minimal supervision
- Identify and escalate issues in a timely manner.
- Strong Stakeholder management and the ability to challenge all seniority levels as required.
- Constant vendor/partner engagement to create/deliver project plans.
- Work with department managers to allocate adequate resources.
- Work closely with teams across the business – IT, Operations, BI, Network, Product, Mediation, Online, Pricing & Proposition, Business Development & Marketing, Customer Services.
- Weekly communications update to project sponsors and stakeholders
- Manage internal and external project meetings.
- Vendor & stakeholder management.
- Support and implement technical transition to operations.
Profile Description
- Knowledge and experience with mobile network deployments, including 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G (Non-Standalone and Standalone), IMS networks and Data Centre connectivity.
- Knowledge of core network systems, including GMSC, SBC, STP, SMSC, DRA, HLR/HSS, and on the IP layer, IP switches, fibre connections and interconnects.
- Ten years’ experience working in telecoms.
- Should have minimum five years’ experience managing global infrastructure projects such as Data centre.
- IT infrastructure projects consisting of all business-critical systems in the project manager role.
- Strong Project Management (PMP or Prince2).
- Experience in Agile project management methodologies.
- Exposure to telecom networks and infrastructure (MVNO a bonus).
- Experience working for a Telco Service Provider or Mobile Network Operator (MNO & MVNO) environment will be an asset.
- Experience in management of application development projects, stakeholder engagements from requirements analysis through development, testing and delivery.
- Strong understanding of System and SW development life cycle (SDLC) management process.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure and networks.
- Experience of building successful delivery teams (under matrix management)
- Excellent English Communication skills (both written and verbal) is critical.
