Job Summary
The Specialist/Sr. Specialist FMR (RTR) handles recording financial transactions through to financial reporting. Requires Commerce Graduate/MBA with 5.5-10 years in Finance & Accounts within manufacturing/FMCG. Key duties include posting journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, entry reviews, cash forecasting, month-end closing support, report preparation, and audit assistance, ensuring compliance with local accounting standards and providing strategic and operational financial insights
Job Description
- Manage monthly book closure, journal entries, and financial reporting with accurate reconciliations.
- Review and apply accounting policies for non-routine transactions, highlighting and resolving exceptions promptly.
- Oversee inventory accounting, mark-to-market/fair value accounting, and month-end period closing.
- Conduct trial balance, P&L, balance sheet reviews, and manage inter-company and account reconciliations.
- Lead management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and ensure RTR process SLAs are met with accuracy and timeliness.
Overall responsibilities include:
- Inventory accounting (movements and reconciliation with physical stock)
- Mark-to-Market / Fair Value accounting
- Month-end processing (period close)
- Trial balance, PNL and balance sheet review
- Management Reporting
- Inter-company reconciliations
- Account reconciliations (GL to sub-ledger)
- Budgeting and Forecasting
Profile Description
- Commerce Graduate/MBA with 5.5 - 10 years in Finance & Accounts, FMCG/Manufacturing background.
- Experienced in validation checklists, journal entry review, and accurate period recording.
- Skilled in plant costing, inventory reporting, variance analysis (MUV/PPV), absorption & standard costing.
- Strong fixed assets accounting knowledge and familiarity with BOM creation, production settlement.
- Proficient in GAAP; working knowledge of SAP/Oracle, SAP BPC/BO/BI a plus; strong analytical, leadership skills; flexible with travel and time zones.
